Never shared this, but last year around this time I was auditioning for the Tech Expert role on The Marilyn Dennis Show. A surreal experience that all spawned from this embarrassing audition video I sent them. What followed was a face to face interview and an on-set test segment.
In the end I got beat out by 16-year old tech blogger Nicholas Montgomery — who does a great job BTW. It was hard to compete with the fresh-faced tech equivalent of Justin Bieber. That’s what I tell myself to feel better about not getting the gig. The show has since added Amber Mac to their tech expert roster.
Went to Watch the Throne last night in Toronto. At the end of the concert Mike Divincenzo threw his new Blue Jays hat up on stage. The rest, as they say, is history.
Julie Brown and I are currently developing a location app inspired board game called Places and Co.! We’re treating it like a tech startup, cause that’s how we roll. Follow our progress on Tumblr, Twitter and or Facebook etc. etc.!
We’re excited. Our little seed of a board game idea is poking up from underneath the soil. What started around a year ago with some sketches and a few brainstorming sessions, is now a full blown playable prototype. To paraphrase the wonderful Dr. Seuss, we’re off to great places!
Embarrassed to admit of the Day: I never formally introduced my lil’ company I co-founded a year ago, Conversated. We do our bestest to create original branded content with proven web stars. Think the sponsor scene from Wayne’s World but more organic. If you’re into that sort of thing, follow us on Twitter and or Like us on Facebook.
