Bourbon Blues on the Street, Loose and Complete

This past week I spent three days in New Orleans. Stayed just off Bourbon St., right in the middle of the French Quarter. I was amazed to see how much the city has bounced backed since Hurricane Katrina. I know there’s still a lot work to be done and they’re still feeling the ripple effects of the devastation (eg. serious population shrinkage and a major education crisis as a result) but when I interacted with the locals and heard their stories I definitely felt the spirit that has and continues to empower them through the healing process.
I took a few photos. Would have liked to explored the city a little more but I was on a tight schedule.
