Thirty things I’ve learned in 30 years. In the order I thought them in.

– Just because you wear black, doesn’t make you a good designer.
– You can tell a lot about someone by the type of shoes they wear.
– Share the work you do.
– Sometimes you have to create something just to get it out of your system.
– Don’t be afraid of failing, fear settling.
– Hard Work > Talent > Experience > Education.
– Everything that has brought joy to my life started with making an unexpected decision.
– Interesting happens after midnight.
– There is such a thing as too honest. Be that.
– Life is an endless journey of unlocking your passion. Enjoy the discoveries along the way.
– Work backwards. Ask yourself what legacy you want to leave behind and aim for it.
– Take your own advice.
– Every creative project should start on paper.
– Not until you’re 100% authentic, will you be 100% happy.
– Spend your money while you’re still breathing.
– Avoid swearing.
– Ever so often, mark all as read.
– Pop music isn’t a sin.
– Give credit.
– If people tell you you’re crazy for doing something, chances are you’re doing something right.
– Compliment others.
– Strive for perfection but understand that done is better than perfect.
– Nothing “is what it is”.
– Don’t obsess about time but always wear a great watch.
– Sing. Dance. Video tape it.
– That rainy day you’re waiting for is never going to come.
– Vulnerability is the cousin of greatness.
– Be humble enough so that people don’t mind when you brag.
– Love over everything.
– Always create, never hesitate.
