Hank Buttons
- Girl: Hi Jeremy. So I was almost right the other day. The guys name is Henry, or so it looks, but the name of the business is "Hank's Buttons". The website is www.hanksbuttons.com. Hope it works for you!
- Me: Hey Pam, I think you have the wrong number and by number I mean email. I have nothing against buttons but I don't remember talking to you about them either. Take care.
At the Office
- Co-Worker: I'm working on the notes from our meeting over lunch and will e-mail at some point today. If you can start a ppt from those, we'll edit from there. Does that work?
- Me: Yeah minus the powerpoint part, we're uping our flyness.
Another Great Email from Julie’s Boss
Haters, haters. Am I the only one who thinks Kanye got a raw deal last night? First of all, best performance of the night, and, secondly, (punctuation was never my strength so I just pepper them throughout my sentences) most touching performance of the night. I don’t mind telling you that I got a little blinkie.
The music starts 10 secs into his speech and they don’t have enough class to lower it when he tries to honour his mother. They freakin’ gave Herbie Hancock half an hour.
Herbie Hancock beat Graduation?
George Bush elected for a 2nd term?
Rambo?
And why was it open season on Kanye all night. Hey Vince, you better be wearing a much much better suit then that JC Penny 2 for 1 special if you’re going to take a shot a Ye.
Still angry,
MC aka Weirdo
Bring Back Comments Hate Mail
The following is a recent email I received regarding comments on my site. The emailer quotes my recent post on the Gap peacoat and refers to it as his favourite. What a weirdo. It also should be noted that the emailer is actually Julie’s boss – and he really isn’t weird, he’s actually quite humourous.
Bring them back and I’ll feed you a steady stream of inspiration.
“Until recently, when I was killing time at a mall, I hadn’t step foot in Gap for a long time. I pretty much wrote them off about three years ago but it seems as though things are starting to improve. I picked up this cotton peacoat for spring. It’s not perfect by any means and I plan to modify it with some custom buttons, but it’s a sign Gap may be making a slight comeback. Update: I’ll post a photo of my customization, get excited.”
This is my favorite post. I mean, who the hell keeps the original buttons. I like to use the bedazzler to enhance all of my garments.
