The first two paragraphs of this article sum up my thoughts on Friday night’s dinner at Auberge du Pommier. You’re cheating yourself if you haven’t indulged in the experience that is the Auberge.

Not surprised at #1. Reason #378 why I enjoy living in a big city: I’ve only been to / heard of two of the restaurants found on OpenTable.com’s list of best overall restaurants in Toronto.
Recipes with Ikea Ingredients
Serious Eats outlines a few dishes (and one drink) made with Ikea grocery ingredients. For example – “I used their sparkling pear juice and elderflower cordial to mix myself a virgin St.-Germain”. I have a few bottles of the sparkling pear juice at home, so I’ll have to give that drink a try. On average I probably hit up an Ikea once every couple of months, so the idea of picking up a few groceries while I’m there appeals to me. via Kottke.org
