Inspiration for my guest room / office. I’ve been wanting to use skids as a bed for awhile – this scene may have just pushed me over the edge. Every morning I drive by a warehouse that has a stack of wooden skids with a sign that says “Free Skids”. The room is small so I may have to reinterpreted as a day bed. I wonder how easily I could mimic that paneling on the wall? That tree branch is kind of key as well. via Mint.

I bought a loft with Julie Brown. We move in Saturday. I’ve been using Google Sketchup to create a 3D model in preparation for some in the near future renovations.

LIV by Au Lit Opening
My gal Julie is the Assistant Creative Director for Au Lit Fine Linens. For the past few months, she and the rest of the Au Lit team has been hard at work planning and prepping their latest project – LIV by Au Lit.
LIV by Au Lit is a 10,000 square foot, two-level lifestyle store – combining fashion and jewellery with furniture, linens, lighting and accessories to create a one of a kind, multi-sensory shopping experience. It’s no joke.

Craigslist Furniture
If you’re like me and love digging through crap to find that perfect piece of furniture, then the Craigslist furniture classifieds (for your area) is a great resource. These retro end tables ($25 for the pair) could be great in the right setting.
Florals are no Longer Grandma
Just incase you missed the memo florals are no longer grandma (used properly). I’m currently working on a little side project where I’ve come to appreciate a good floral.
Old Gray Office File Cabinets
I’ve been keen on old gray office file cabinets as of late. I salvaged one a few months ago and put it to good use in my home office. Then I saw this great use of the classic gray office file cabinets which takes them to a whole new level. If someday I end up a lonely depressed single, in a overpriced bachelor apartment, I might have to mimic this setup.
