Way back in the early days of Tumblr, I scooped up kanyewest.tumblr.com. Being a fan of Kanye, I thought I might as well grab it before some clown does, only for it to sit dormant waiting for the highest bidder.

Having a soft spot for online personal brands, it irks me when someone snags a celebrity’s social media username for the wrong reasons. What are the right reasons? For me it’s representing that celebrity in a way that respects them and echos what they have going on online (all while reserving the name/profile until they want to use it).

So when Mr. West starting upping his social media flyness, I knew what I need to do — create a Yeezy filter for all his online content. A place to highlight all his, blog posts, gallery blog posts and tweets (until, of course Kanye contacts me and wants to take it over).

So here it is, KANYE’S ISH on Tumblr, unofficially Yeezy, but all G.O.O.D.

Hey boys and girls! I created a site dedicated to photos of people and their dogs. It’s called Yuppies & Puppies. I encourage you to submit awesome photos of you and your furry friends.

Why did I create such a site? That question has two answers. a: To shed light on the misconception that “Jer hates dogs”. b: Everyone and their dog has a picture of themselves with their dog. Why not have a place to share them.

Reblog, like, share and recommend till your heart’s content. Woof.

Shout-out to Paul Straw for the Tumblr theme I used to make this magic happen.

Big news overnight is the launch of Square, a mobile app supporting multiple devices that enables anyone to take credit card transactions without the hassle of merchant accounts or complicated fee structures. It’s the brainchild of Twitter inventor Jack Dorsey and with the likes of Buzz Andersen involved, it’s going to be huge. Impeccable website design by Bobby Andersen.

As pointed out in the notes by Max Wheeler and Lachlan Hardy, part of the solution is a physical card reader mechanism that sends magnetic data from a credit card to a supported device through its audio input jack, generating the power to do so from the swiping motion. Clever.
